The brief descriptions below are designed to familiarize you with our staff's training, professional credentials and work experience.
James Thurman, DMD
Dr. James C. Thurman has been placing and restoring implants since 1987. His office was one of the first in Kentucky to use digital x-rays and paperless charts.
Dr. Thurman received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) from the University of Louisville in 1976. His post-graduate training included a general dentistry residency at the University of Kentucky/V.A. Hospital as well as training in implant dentistry at Brookdale Medical Center/New York University and at the Medical College of Georgia. He has taken over 1,000 hours of continuing education courses to stay at the cutting edge of the field of dentistry and provide his patients with the very best care.

Amy Norris Cassady, DMD
Dr. Cassady is a general dentist practicing in her hometown of Glasgow, KY. She is a 1989 graduate of Glasgow High School and received her Bachelor of Science degree with distinction from the University of Kentucky. In 1996, she earned her Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry. Post-doctoral studies include the completion of a general practice residency program at the University of Alabama/Birmingham. In 1997, Dr. Cassady entered private practice as an associate of Dr. Norman Gooch in Edmonton, KY. In 2004, she entered into the dental practice of Glasgow Dental Care.

Dr. Cassady has devoted her professional career to all aspects of general dentistry providing comprehensive care to her patients. She has special interests in root canal therapy, cosmetic dentistry, oral surgery, and pediatrics. To keep abreast of the latest developments in dentistry, she has always exceeded the continuing education requirements of Kentucky.
Married since 1996, Dr. Cassady and her husband, Craig (who is also a Glasgow native), have 4 children: Parker, Connor, Mia, and Nelson. When not working, she enjoys spending time with family, exercising at the local Y, attending her childrens’ various sporting events and activities, and reading.

Gina Miller, RDH, BSDH
Gina graduated from Western Kentucky University in 1997 with an Associate of Science, Dental Hygiene degree. She completed the Bachelor of Science, Dental Hygiene degree the following year, 1998. Gina joined our practice in April of 1998. She has worked in dentistry for over 20 years, as a dental assistant prior to obtaining her RDH license. Gina has been an active member in her professional organization, holding various offices for the South Central Kentucky Dental Hygienists’ Association for a number of years and also serving on the Executive Board for the Kentucky Dental Hygienists’ Association from 1999 through 2007. She is also a past President of KyDHA. Gina has her license to administer block and infiltration anesthesia and nitrous oxide analgesia. In 2014, Gina also became certified to provide laser debridement treatment.
Gina is married to Dr. Dewayne Miller, who is the Physical Therapy Clinical Coordinator and Sports Medicine Coordinator at TJ Samson Rehab and Sports Medicine. They live in Glasgow with two of their three daughters, Hannah and Emma. Their oldest daughter, Brittany, is a 2014 graduate of WKU's Exercise Science program. When not working, Gina enjoys spending time with her family. She is an avid reader, quilter, and a self-proclaimed amateur photographer.
Angela Bell, RDH
Angela is a Registered Dental Hygienist licensed to administer block and infiltration anethesia as well as nitrous oxide analgesia. She graduated from Western Kentucky University in May 2011 and has been with Glasgow Dental Care since Septmeber 2011. Outside of the office, Angela enjoys using her passion to provide dental care to those who are less fortunate. She has volunteered at a dental clinic in Beattyville, KY, studied abroad in Belize, and participated on the WKU Mobile Health Unit to provide oral health care to children. Attending continuing education courses is high on Angela's priorty list to remain up-to-date with the latest information and techniques to provide patients with the best denal care possible. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, performing at the local theater, riding horses, and quilting.
Natalie Doty, RDH
Natalie is a Registered Dental Hygienist that graduated from WKU in 2015. She has completed her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. She is also licensed to adminsiter block and infiltration anethesia, as well as nitrous oxide analgesia. She joined Glasgow Dental Care in September 2015.
Natalie is married to Dylan Doty. They both graduated from Glasgow High School in 2011 and are high school sweethearts. In her free time, she enjoys going to the lake and going for runs with their dog, Knox.
Sandra Stone, RDA, CDA, EDDA
Sandra is a certified and registered dental assistant and expanded duties dental assistant. She graduated from Bowling Green Technical School in 1986 with certification in dental assisting. She then completed expanded functions from the University of Louisville. She has been a member of DANB since 1986.
Sandra joined the practice in September of 1991. She loves helping others and gains a great deal of satisfaction in providing quality care to our patients.
In addition to working at the dental office, Sandra and her husband, Michael, own a local business, Mobile 1 Express. They have two children, Corey and Collin. Sandra loves spending time with family and her hobbies include art, crafts, and thrifting.
Chassidy Elmore, RDA, EDDA
Chassidy is a registered dental assistant and expanded duties dental assistant. She studied expanded functions at the University of Kentucky and has been assisting since 2006. She joined the practice in 2010 relocating back to her hometown of Glasgow from Columbus, GA.
When away from the office, Chassidy enjoys spending time with her friends and family especially her daughter, Kylee. Boating, home renovations, and excercising are other activities she can be found doing in her spare time.
Marilyn Bunch, RDA, EDDA
In February 2016, Marilyn joined Glasgow Dental Care. Marilyn has nearly 30 years experience as an expanded duties dental assistant. She has been married to her husband, Barry, since 1983 and they have 1 daughter, Whitney, son-in-law Eric, and 2 grandchildren, Emmory and Max. In her spare time she enjoys running, riding motorcycles, camping, and spending time with family.
Erica Simmons, EDDA
Erica joined Glasgow Dental Care in September 2016. She is a 2015 graduate from the Medical Institute of Kentucky in Bowling Green with a certification as an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant. Erica enjoys helping others feel comfortable in the dental chair and loves providing quality care to our patients.
Erica and husband, Clay Simmons, have been married since October 2016 and have one child, Tripp Simmons. They live in Glasgow and are in the process of buying their first home. Erica and her family enjoy being outside as much as possible. Her hobbies include going to the lake and vacationing at the beach.
Jenny Darst, Receptionist
In May 2013, Jenny joined Glasgow Dental Care as a receptionist with previous experience in financial coordinating and assisting. She is a native of Cave City, KY. Jenny and her husband, Michael, have been married since 2000 and have two children, Ella and Louis. In her spare time, she enjoys attending her childrens' sporting events as well as yoga and walking.
Christy Kessinger, Office Manager
Christy joined Glasgow Dental Care as Office Manager in May 2012. Before joining the practice, Christy worked at Lowes Home Centers, Inc. for over 18 years holding numerous management positions in five states. The last 10 years of her career she served the Greater Louisville & Lexington, KY markets as Area Operations Manager. Christy is a native of Glasgow, KY and she and her husband, Chad, have been married since 2007. Together, they have one son, Camdyn. In her free time, Christy enjoys spending time with her family, working with crafts, snowboarding, and vacationing at the beach.
